World Missionary Evangelism

About 60 years ago, WME’s founder Dr. John Douglas, Sr. was ministering in India. A Hindu man asked Dr. Douglas whether he truly believed what he preached, and then he challenged Dr. Douglas to prove his faith by taking care of 7 orphaned children. Dr. Douglas embraced the challenge as a call from God to take responsibility for children no one else wanted. In doing so, he founded a mission that has saved and nurtured thousands of children in need.

Today, World Missionary Evangelism (WME) is a Texas nonprofit, incorporated in 1958 for missionary and evangelistic purposes. The WME vision is to evangelize the world through missions. The mission is to build churches, orphanages, elementary & secondary schools, medical & dental clinics and low income housing. WME sponsors & equips native ministers, feeds the hungry, stabilizes families, and drills water wells.
They provide farms for orphanages & missions, education & community to leper families, remote area primary healthcare, and corrective surgeries for limb straightening, facial deformities, and eye problems.
