How I came to work at Chick-fil-A

When I was exploring potential job options as a High Schooler, one name stood out, Chick-Fil-A.

Over the years, as a customer, I've consistently been impressed by the exceptional service at their restaurants. Walking into a restaurant where you genuinely feel valued as a customer is such a refreshing experience. The way every team member goes the extra mile to brighten a customer's day truly stood out to me. I knew that by joining Chick-Fil-A, I would receive top-notch training from individuals who genuinely care about their team, and the reality has exceeded my expectations.

From Newbie to Trainer

One of my desires when I signed on this job was to acquire customer service skills. In this quest for exceptional customer service skills, Chick-Fil-A has far exceeded my expectations throughout my year-long journey. During this time, I've not only honed those skills but truly embraced the essence of second-mile service. It's remarkable how a warm, cheerful smile and genuine happiness create a positive cycle, energizing both me and the customers, making each shift a delightful experience.

Each work shift at Chick-fil-A can be incredibly fast-paced. This has been both exhilarating and rewarding. I've thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in every aspect of the job. Unlike other workplaces, the trainers here take a proactive approach to teaching tasks, ensuring that every team member feels equipped to handle challenges independently. This supportive environment has significantly bolstered my confidence, enabling me to tackle new responsibilities with ease.

Recently, I was granted the opportunity to step into the role of a trainer myself. Witnessing the growth and increasing confidence of new team members, mirroring my own journey, has been immensely fulfilling.

Beyond Chick-Fil-A Park

I have since begun my undergraduate year at the University of Oklahoma and have come to discover that the social skills I developed at Chick-Fil-A have been invaluable. The ability to connect with people and create positive interactions has not only enhanced my work experience but has also translated seamlessly into meeting new people on campus. This ability to connect with people has opened doors, allowing me to meet many new faces and make lasting connections.
