Scholarship funds are paid upfront and may be applied to qualifying education expenses at the recipient’s accredited institution. Follow the award instructions and your school’s procedures for processing the check.

Your Operator or Interim Manager completes the required restaurant recommendation after you submit. You may also request one optional external recommendation from an unrelated person outside the restaurant—such as a teacher, counselor, coach, professor, or mentor.

Talk with your recommenders before you submit so they know the request is coming. The system sends the Operator recommendation request only after submission. All recommendations are due November 11, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.

Be ready to explain how you positively affected your restaurant, community, friends, or family during the 12 months before applying. Use specific examples, your role, the action you took, and the result.

In addition to the 3.0 GPA and recommendation criteria, applicants must demonstrate financial need, have at least one year of Chick-fil-A employment by January 1 following the deadline, and be pursuing their first degree of that type. The $25,000 award may be received only once in a lifetime.

Yes. According to the 2027 Team Member resource hub, applicants not selected for the $25,000 award will also be considered for the $1,500 scholarship if eligible.

A recipient may receive only one Remarkable Futures award per application cycle. The $25,000 scholarship may be received only once in a lifetime. Apply again in a future cycle if you remain eligible for another award.
